the show had an overall lame feeling that was mainly due to the production (editing, music, camera angles and replay choices, skits) and format (30 seconds to do your signature dunk as opposed to 3 attempts, the tandem round hurt players with poor passers), but if you want to take the best dunks/highlights then you had a lot of great non gimmick dunks (other than Rare Air - more about him later).

A few dunkers disappointed like Air Bama (just wasn't his day) and the show was hit by the injury and bad luck bug the day before that kept a few favorites, including Tdub, Special FX and Elevator, out of the competition.

It's also never fun to see somebody win something playing it safe...like Candace Parker beating out JR and Josh Smith.

I'll be posting a lot of the dunks soon and allowing the fans to vote on the best dunks and dunkers.

Worst "dunks" both came from Rare Air. I thought the purpose of dunking was to go up and not down. It's like a swimmer deciding to sprint along the side of the pool to try to beat the other swimmers. Swimmers swim and not run; High flyers fly and not fall.

they should make it a 2 episode show with 8 dunkers on each show... elimiate the time limit on the signature dunk..... and.. most importantly... hire AO (AND1) to make the passes in the tamdem dunk

what im pissed about is the signature dunks.. how is high rizers dunk as good (got the same score 47) as golden shilds dubble up? thers no way. gc shoulda got at least a 55 for that one... i also thought justin d was robbed a bit in the first round.

i agree completely dude. The dubble up is the holy grail of dunking and some fucking two hand dunk got the same score biggest bullshit of life. Sorry for the cursing but I'm so pissed.

There was so much that went wrong in this competition. Before it even started some of the best and most consistent dunkers got injured.

The crowd was whack, they were going crazy when Werm and Dupuy were first dunking but after that they didn't react to any of the best dunks.

The judges were ridiculous. Dee Brown was acting liking an ass clown the whole competition and seemed like he knew very little about the dunks the dunkers were doing. I mean Just Fly did an alley oop both elbows in the rim and nobody said anything.

If they had set up the competition like the NBA contest I think the contest would have been sick. Give the dunker time to get their dunk down without having to frantically run around the court.

It was hard to watch Air Bama struggle all night because he was one of the better dunkers there, but the most frustrating thing was watching High Rizer do the same safe boring dunks all night and come away the winner.

I just wanted to see the best dunkers get some respect for what they were doing, and see the crowd going crazy. But at least there were some great dunks for real dunking fans to appreciate.

Lame for sho man! Could have been alot better. They just need to make some minor changes to the format and it would have been alot better. Some of the dunks were original and everybody represented themselves well. I just think that some of the guys were nervous with it being there first time on national TV. High Rizer, Werm and Rare Air had been on City Slam before so they were like the vets of the competiton. I expected a wider field of competitors but I guess due to some guys being injured and time constraints they went with the dunkers they had. But it was like 7.5 on scale of 1 to 10!

This event needed Robert Wilson, A.K.A. "Flight" in it... Then it would have been fine.
